Currently putting together a new card. This is what it looks like. At least, this is what the forme for the front of the card looks like.

Still not sure about the text on the inside of the card. Still not sure what (or how) it will read...or what fontface to use. I often find that the design and the scripting of the card is the more challenging than locking up the forme.

lemons

When life gives you lemons...
...eat those f*ckers! This is no time to get scurvy.

Pressed on delicious, never bitter, Holyoke 140lb paper, using Clarendon semi-bold 10pt and Goudy hand-tooled 48pt type.

XOXO

➽ Mixed some old wood type with some newer lead type. Really liking the plum colored ink on natural paper.

custom Moleskines

My son has taken an interest in writing and journaling. To encourage him, I created a few custom Moleskines for his 9th birthday. Finding that pressing Moleskines is a bit tricky with the tabletop platen press, but the results were nice.

monogram note cards

➽ Monogram note cards have been around for quite some time. Why? Because they are simple, elegant and classy. Send a handwritten note to a friend or an acquaintance on one of these and they'll think you're classy, too. He or she may not notice the understated elegance of the 48pt Goudy Hand Tooled type, but your smug satisfaction will be worth every penny.
