paint chips

Saw a few paint chips on Pinterest recently. You know the kind. Typical paint chips available at your local hardware store. Only, the paint chips on Pinterest had sappy poetry quotes scrawled on them with a Sharpie. yawn

I liked the intent, but not the crappy handwriting. So, I stopped by Home Depot and grabbed some paint chips in fall colors. I duplexed them, trimmed them and pressed them. Makes a nice bookmark. Although, I'm finding that the ink takes well but the sheen on the paint chips prevents the letterpress ink from drying quickly. Sealant will fix that. And, I'll use a smaller typeface next quote my favorite sappy poem.

Currently putting together a new card. This is what it looks like. At least, this is what the forme for the front of the card looks like.

Still not sure about the text on the inside of the card. Still not sure what (or how) it will read...or what fontface to use. I often find that the design and the scripting of the card is the more challenging than locking up the forme.
