Because I'm trying to be frugal this holiday season, I'm making most all of the gifts I'll be giving. Does that mean I'm cheap? Maybe. But, I'd argue there is a big difference between being cheap and being frugal. I could also argue that this 'letter S' project was not inexpensive–all those bottles of Silver Oak, Rombauer, V. Sattui, Pine Ridge, Cuvaison and Chimay were not cheap.

Amazing what one can do with some fancy poster board and a hot glue gun...and some help from Adobe Illustrator (to create the template for the giant serif S). The only difficult part of this project was the monotonous gluing and placement of the corks. The end result was well worth it, though. Now, I'm just wondering how I'm going to wrap this baby before I give it to my folks.
