lagging

I feel like I owe an apology to all the kind people who have inquired about purchasing prints. I’ll be honest—I’ve been lagging.

These last three months, my “real job” has kept me far busier than I had anticipated. And, to be blunt, creating a new point-of-sale website has not been a priority. Hey, I need access to healthcare and a meager retirement plan...I’m not proud.

So, to all those who have DM’d, emailed, texted, and called I offer my apologies. I’m humbled that people still want to purchase my prints. It means a lot

Upside: I’ll have some time in early November (just a few short days away!) to get it going. And, I’ve been cranking out prints on weekends...I’m stockpiling all kinds of good stuff to list.

back at it

“I’m not slow—I’m deliberate.”

Full-time time employment has kept me out of the workshop quite a bit these last two years. Thankfully, the summer months do give me a few precious days to print, and futz around with my type & cuts.

I like to think I’m maximizing this time–that I’m printing a bunch of stuff to share and sell. But, that hasn’t happened in a while. Letterpress work was always a hobby for me. It always will be. And, it’s humbling to think that people want to buy my prints, cards, and notebooks.

With that in mind, I’ve taken my paid BigCartel site offline. That was $120 per year (+ commissions from PayPal and Stripe) that could have bought more paper, new rollers, type, or ink. And, I really don’t feel like going back to Etsy.

I’m not sure how sales will happen going forward. Instagram posts? PayPal only? MailChimp campaigns? Maybe this site if I tinker with it?

Trust that I’m working on it. And, I’m cranking some prints!
